Well, hello there. How are you? Welcome to my page. When I started this page I was a stay-at-home-mother to three children, all under the age of six. Yes, I realise how it happened. Yes, I had my hands full. I still do! Yes, it can be chaotic at times all the time. No, I’ve not lost my mind. Yet.
Nowadays, the kids are a bit bigger, I’m now juggling two jobs as well as raising the kids. Life is just as crazy as it’s always been.
Let’s meet my kids. Princess is now 9, going on 19. Precocious, very clever (too clever to con) with a memory like an elephant. Main goal in life: to own 100 horses. BoyChild is 7. Rambunctious and silent like a ninja, there is something about this kid that we can’t put our finger on, but the word “genius” gets thrown about. He’s gentle and kind and can tell you any US President and the years they served. Baby Girl is now 5, getting sassier with each passing day while still staying the same size as she always has been. Eager to join in with the older two. Frighteningly determined and adorably cute, something that she knows well and uses to her advantage frequently!
The aim of this blog is to tell the truth. People talk about all the amazing things their kids do, there is a hideous undercurrent of competition amongst parents. I do that too, I’m sure. But I also am realistic about my kids. Sometimes, Princess is that kid picking their nose at mat time. Occassionally, BoyChild was that kid taking cupcakes off other kids at a bbq.
As well as talking about all things kids (because lets be honest – it’s my main topic of interest) I also address my daily struggles with being a Proper Grown Up (significantly harder than I ever expected), with mention of my Person (bestie who lives miles and miles away) and husband, Mr T.
Having kids has taught me a lot, about life, about people, about myself.
I hope you enjoy the ride!
